The new Wetland Ecosystem Science Laboratory of the UL Lafayette School of Geosciences has its first official publication!
Dr. Jorge Villa, the lead scientist of the group, published an invited commentary on JGR Biogeosciences with reflections on how biological component representation in biogeochemical models of methane improves modeling predictions.

The commentary summarizes some of the overlaying research topics at the intersection of physical and biological components in wetland ecosystems that Dr. Villa and his group will be pursuing during the next years.
