Color processing of seismic data - Geology for Exploration
The talk covers considerations for obtaining geological information from seismic data. Particular attention is given to the eXchroma color-processing method and its applications. After explaining the technique applications to exploration are discussed. These cover the aspects of structural and litho-stratigraphic de-risking using 3D seismic data.
Biography
Andreas has more than 30 years industry experience in experience in seismic, remote sensing and geological modelling with focus on data visualization, integration and interpretation from global to prospect scale. His tenure covers design and testing of offshore and onshore geophysical sources and sensors as well as data analysis and QC. In cooperation with the European Space Agency he developed a technique for characterization and modelling of the near-surface by integrating satellite data with geological and geophysical data. His analysis and interpretation method representing geophysical data cubes in color allows geologists to better interrogate geophysical data and to isolate geological details from them. Presently he works on the geological interpretation of surface and sub-surface data using remote sensing techniques and their integration into the seismic and reservoir workflow and their applications for exploration from data to discovery.
